Boost

This module provides static page caching for Drupal 4.7 (unsupported), 5.x (looking for a maintainer) and 6.x (thread about 6.x development), enabling a very significant performance and scalability boost for heavily-trafficked Drupal sites that receive mostly anonymous traffic.

For an introduction, read the original blog post. More technical details are available in Justin Miller's write-up.

Read how Development Seed used Boost to help the United Nations campaign StandAgainstPoverty.org set a world record in organizing the biggest mass mobilization on a single issue, with over 116 million people (almost 2% of the world's population) participating:

Be sure to read the accompanying README.txt and INSTALL.txt for installation and usage instructions. This is an advanced-level module and primarily intended for system administrators and developers who understand the mod_rewrite directives that make it tick.

Boost was originally developed by Arto Bendiken. Currently the following people have CVS access: Moshe Weitzman, Barry Jaspan, Justin Miller, Ben Lavender, Josh Koenig, Ian Ward and Mike Carper.
