Central NJ meetup July 7 - theme basics: converting a html page or template into a Drupal theme
This meet-up will start with a presentation/tutorial on how to make a basic (but functional) Drupal theme starting from an existing web page or a template such as you might find on >a href="http://www.oswd.org/designs/favorites/">OSWD. After the tutorial, people working on a teme can get help from others in the group, and we will have informal discussion about general Drupal issues and trouble-shooting.
Address:
Bloomberg Hall
1 Einstein Drive
Princeton, NJ 08540
(we are marked on Google maps)
IAS is a short distance from Mercer Street. See here - http://www.ias.edu/about/directions - for directions and a campus map. For those who are familiar with Princeton University, we are basically on the other side of the golf course. It is a little over a mile from the train station, so walkable, but maybe we can get volunteers to pickup anyone coming by train. For those coming by car, park in Lot A. There should be plenty of parking in the evening.
Philadelphia AreaOpen Media Toolset Mixer--Come learn about the Open Media Project!
We've finally settled on a date for a meet-and-greet for anyone who wants to learn more about the Open Media Project or get involved. The Open Media Project partners and raSANTIAGO are hosting the social at 3:30 p.m. on July 16 at the Olympic Mills Commerce Center in SE Portland.
The OM toolset was created by Denver Open Media as a management toolset that tracks equipment, reservations, reporting and online collaboration. It was developed with Drupal and CiviCRM and appears as an intuitive social media site to public users (i.e.: DOM site). In 2008, DOM was awarded a Knight Foundation News Challenge grant to develop the toolset for community media centers and nonprofits in general.
DOM has six development partners across the country, including Portland Community Media.

July CODUG meetup
The Next meet up will be held the Second Sunday in July, the 12th at 2 O'clock.
Please note this is not our normal week as the library is closed during the first week in July.
The Agenda for the meeting includes a walk through of CiviCRM, a Druapl related project tha started as module and has spun out to stand alone and work with Joomla (I know, I know). CiviCRM is a Contact Relationship Management program that is focused on Non-Profits and includes features like Event Management, Case Management, Blast E-mail management, Contribution Tracking, Membership Tracking and Contact Management. CiviCRM also integrates with Drupal Modules like Views, Organic Groups, and the Drupal roles and user systems.

Key speaker: Sivaji, A young Computer Engg Graduate from Jaya engg college, who has been actively involved in GSoC. He will briefly talk about his GSoC project, Enchancing Quiz module. And brief us on how we could contribute to Drupal and some of the below questions:
How to contribute to Drupal?
How to submit a patch?
How to apply for a CVS account?
How to contribute a module?
Let meet again and have some Drupal fun...
Venue: Netlink Technologies Ltd. 6th Floor Acropolis Chennai
Chennai Drupal CommunityJuly: drupalchix:msp chocolate cake meeting
It's about time the local drupalchix got together.
We'll be eating chocolate cake.
I'm proposing meeting at the Seward Pizza Luce because I think their cake is particularly great. Also, they have tiramisu. What more do you need? (Oh, right, wireless. I'm not sure about that.)
Anyways, besides chocolate cake - the few few few women who do Drupal in the Twin Cities should get together. Aside from just getting together to learn more about ourselves professionally, it might be nice to talk about doing things that would support ourselves as women who work in open source.
Twin CitiesNorthern NJ Meetup - New Location July 23rd
This meetup has moved up to the Panera Bread in Ramsey
This will be more of the same Q&A, Intro to Drupal, I can do a little module development / theming 101.
Can't wait to see the new venue it has a room we can utilize.

Northwest Ohio, USAMeetup July 2009 - At McDonalds in Apple Valley
The High Desert Drupal group meets the first Wednesday of every month. This local group is a nice place for people to learn and talk about Drupal, a world popular content management system (CMS). We also talk about web development in general, covering all aspects from planning, design, development, and maintaining a web site. RSVP is not required and attendance is free. Tell all your friends!
What are we going to talk about?Apache Solr
Solr is an open source enterprise search server based on the Lucene Java search library, with XML/HTTP and JSON APIs, hit highlighting, faceted search, caching, replication, and a web administration interface. --Wikipedia
This month Helior Colorado will give a presentation on Apache Solr and how you can integrate it in your Drupal site. We will get a run down on what Apache Solr is, what is required to use Solr, and then finally how to integrate Apache Solr search into a Drupal web site.
Community Time / Lightning Talks
After Helior's presentation we'll open up the floor to the community where anyone can talk about anything technology related. Do you have anything cool you want to share with the community this month? Did you play with any new technologies this month, it doesn't have to be Drupal? Lets rally up the community this month and allow everyone to share what they've been working on.
Please spend some time over the next week to think about what you want to share at the group, and then post a comment to this thread to let us know what you're thinking about talking about.
Where are we meeting? We are meeting in the McDonalds conference room at the Apple Valley McDonalds on the corner of Apple Valley Rd and Bear Valley Rd. The room seats up to 49 people and is free to use.
If you plan on attending, sign up for an account on this site and then click the "Sign Up" button below to let us know you're coming. You DO NOT have to sign up on this site to attend, you can just show up. If you do sign up, you'll be emailed a reminder for the meeting on one day before the meeting.
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any suggestions.
High Desert - CaliforniaAuckland central meetup
I'm going to be in central Auckland next Friday 3 July and am keen to meet with other Drupalers in Auckland, perhaps for drinks and/or dinner after work?
Please sign up if you think you'll come, just so we can get an idea of numbers.
It looks like there will be 8 of us. I made a reservation at Mink Cafe at 99 Parnell rd under my name (Bevan).
New ZealandAnother Drupal North Shore Meetup
Due to a scheduling conflict with Refresh Boston, this additional North Shore meetup has been established.
While I will set the Saugus Panera Bread as the default location for this event, given the North Shore facet covers a lot of ground (beyond what traditionalists consider the true North Shore even), I find it highly understandable if people want to hold this event somewhere else out of fairness. So feel free to weigh in on this regard.
BostonDrupalJedi.com Code Sprint
OK hopefully this is the final rescheduling of this...
What? DrupalJedi.com Code Sprint
Huh? We are going to be working on the new Drupal 6 DrupalJedi.com site and try to knock all or most of it out in one evening. Anyone from the Dallas Drupal group (or beyond) can come and participate.
When? This Friday, 6/26 starting at 5:30 till whenever
Where? LevelTen Interactive
2929 Carlisle, Suite 375
Dallas, TX, 75201
Did we mention the FREE PIZZA (and drinks) compliments of Hank McFadyen (thank you, Hank!)
Should be some fun Jedi times so see you there!!!
Obi-Wan
Dallas TexasJune meeting
It's that time again already! Given that summer meetings tend to be a bit more sparsely attended, I'd propose we hold to the same time and venue but make this month's meeting more casual, just an open forum to discuss what's on the minds of our local Drupal users. Come on out, ready to talk about whatever happy discovery or vexing issue has surfaced in your use of Drupal lately. For any new users out there, this is an ideal time to get help with your questions. See you there!
London, OntarioDrupal Utah group meeting - June 30 2009
It sounds like we agree on June 30, 2009. Thanks to the guys at American Academy for being gracious hosts. We'll plan on 7pm, unless the group decides otherwise. I think discussion will be primarily about setting up different types of photo galleries, and the For Every Child site will be used as our example. Other topics are welcome.
UtahSan Diego DUG meetup (July)
Our meeting last month in the Balboa Park Hall Of Champions went splendidly! Here's what's coming up for this coming meeting in July:
Recap of Last Month
At the meetup last month in June, Erik Peterson's Site Demo showed us what's under the hood of his rifftrax.com site when it comes to Ubercart and online sales. This presentation revealed some intricate methods of getting Ubercart to do audio and DVD sales in a meaningful and friendly way.
Our Lightning Talks went splendidly well, especially for our first time doing them, and I think everybody really enjoyed this new part of our meetings.
Troy Shields did a meaningful and informative Themer Secrets talk about the 10 best CSS tricks for making your Drupal site behave, including some stuff you shouldn't do because it'll harm your 'perfect' future plans. Then to wrap it up, Karl Scheirer's Developer Secrets talk pulled the lid off of the Drush system and proved that developers who use it can take more coffee breaks while still getting everything done. A huge Thank You to Erik, Troy, and Karl for taking the time to prepare and share their knowledge with us!
Coming Up For This Month's Meeting
We'll start off with a rousing round of Lightning Talks!(40min) again this month. For the first half hour of our evening, everyone should come prepared to discuss a recent Drupal thought, observation, or experience that takes five minutes or less to talk about. You can teach us something, wonder out loud why X doesn't work like you think it should, or ask questions about some Drupally thing you're struggling to understand. The only rule for Lightning Talks is that you're going to be stopping at five minutes whether you're done or not. Other than that's it's fair game, so have fun!
Site Demo (15-20min) We don't have a site demo lined up yet, but we did talk to several people at the last meetup who said they'd do one for July. If you're one of those people, leave a comment on this post and remind us who you are and what site you'll be talking about so we can post the details right here. :)
Developer & Themer Secrets (30min each) We're running a poll again in order to determine what people would like to hear about for this month's topics. Up for grabs are Rules.module, Theming The Page.tpl, Aggregator.module, Turning a PSD file into a Drupal theme, Making a Private Testing Site, and Planning your next Drupal project. Go vote, and help us pick which two topics will help you learn the most about building your next Drupal site!
Networking + in depth Q&A (30+ min)
We're going to go for 2.5 hours again this time instead of our regular two hour meetup. The last 30+ minutes of the meeting can be spent in socializing, networking, and Drupal Q&A. If you heard something in a Lightning Talk that intrigued you, seek that person out and get more details! If you have a vexing Drupal Dilemma that just can't be solved by mere mortals, ask someone to assist you with finding a solution. Need to hire some Drupal talent? This would be the place to find them. And if you are a "Drupal Talent" break out your business cards and start networkin'!

Next Month's needs
Site Demo We need a volunteer to present a 15 to 20 minute talk on a website that you're either currently working on or have just launched. Tell us why it's cool, how you did it, and point out any special features that might be different from a regular old DOOB site. (That's Drupal Out Of Box for you uninitiated folk). Volunteer your site in the comments below!
Developer & Themer Secrets We'll run the poll again next month and let you choose a different topic of learned interest. If you have a suggestion to add to the poll, send it to my contact form.

Washington, DC DrupalersKroegmeet 2
Locatie: Mick O'Connels in Utrecht.
Voor iedereen die wil komen: graag even aanmelden voor deze happening. Als er een behoorlijke groep is, dan melden we dat namelijk even aan Mick.
ENGLISH VERSIONAfter the DrupalJam at Friday the 26th of June we'll continue with a Kroegmeet (pub meet) in the centre of town. The last Kroegmeet was a succes and that's another one has been planned for this week. To keep our social lifes and the consumption of spirits at a decent level we will be going to a real Irish pub in downtown Utrecht. Drinking beer is - of course - not required. Subjects that are open for discussion: Drupal, beer, Drupal, women, Drupal, men, snacks, expanding your network, having fun, your favourite Chinese take-away, more Drupal and anything else you want to talk about.
Attendance is free of charge, but you've got to pay your own drinks and food. Please bring your swimsuits if you expect you won't be able to walk by the canals at the end of the evening.
Destination: Mick O'Connels in Utrecht.
If you'd like to join us, please subscribe to this event so we can tell Mick we'll be flooding his pub.
