Everyone with an account on Drupal.org can be a part of the documentation team by simply helping out. This is described fully in the Contributing to Documentation section of the Getting Involved guide.
In addition to the regular maintenance work and immediate documentation priorities described in the Contributing to Documentation section, and the Current Documentation Priorities, we also have special projects and longer-term planning going at a given time. These initiatives are described here in this section of Community Initiatives.
Your input on any of these ideas is welcome. To learn how best to communicate with the documentation team, please see the Documentation team page.
If you would like to propose a new project or initiative, please begin by posting your idea as a discussion on the documentation group page.
