Breadcrumb settings
- Breadrumb Title
- Choosing yes the node title will be showed in breadcrumb.
- Title Length
- Sometimes it's useful to truncate the title to a maximum length (especially for long node titles).
Here you can set a maximum number of character after which the title will be truncated
Layout settings
- Layout width
- This is the full layout width: you can choose between 1048px and 988px. Using 1048px can cause browser horizontal bar to appear with low resolution screens. At the same time you'll have more space for your content and banners.
- Layout Type
- Here you can control the position of the sidebars. Be aware that if you use "content in the middle" sidebar wrapper regions won't be available (Under Sidebars, Over Sidebars)
- Do you want to hide block title for the external blocks?
- By choosing yes all the block titles outside the content (except the sidebars block) won't show in the template. Furthermore all the margins will be removed. This option is useful if you want to put images or static resources such as flash animations in those regions.
Primary menu settings
- Which kind of primary links do you want to use?
- You can choose between classic 1-level primary links or a Mega Drop Down Menu. A mega drop down menu is a special kind of dropdown menu that uses an unique panel to show all the child links of a 1-level section. If want to use the megamenu, activate the setting and then go to admin/structure/menu/manage/main-menu to build the tree. Megamenu supports a 3-level hierarchy with a maximum number of four 2nd-level sections. You can add as many links as you want under each 2nd-level section
Drag the items in admin/structure/menu/manage/main-menu to reflect a hierarchy like this
- Cameras (1st level item)
- By Brand (2nd level item -> maximum 6 of these)
- Sony (3d level item -> unlimited)
- Canon
- Nikon
- Olympus
- By Category
- Reflex
- Pont & Shoot
- Medium Format
- Micro 4:3
- By Year
- 2010
- 2009
- 2008
- 2007
- By Brand (2nd level item -> maximum 6 of these)
Keep in mind that you can't use long labels for the 2nd-level items.
Please note that megamenu is not supposed to work as a classic drop down menu, so you can't have a 1st-2nd level hierarchy
- Alt class
- If you want to open a panel on the left, simply choose the corresponding number in the combo box. For example if you want the fourth and the fifth link to open on the left, hold ctrl (or cmd) and press 4, 5
Accessibility and code semantincs settings
- Do you want to use p tag for all the section titles that come before main site content?
- According to WCAG2 you can't have a h2 heading before a h1 in the document structure. Choosing Yes the theme will try to comply with this requirement using a p tag for all the block titles that come before the main site content
- Do you want to use h1 and h2 tags for site title and site slogan on the front page?
- Once again this option is for the WCAG2 headings raccomandation. Choosing yes the theme will use the p tag for site title and site slogan on all the pages. If you choose NO, h1 and h2 tags will be used to improve SEO
- Which tag do you want to use for menu section titles?
- With this option you can choose the tags used to render the 1st level (es: cameras) and the 2nd level (es: By Brand) primary menu items. Screen readers will by happy with headings (h2 and h3) but WCAG2 headings raccommandation may fail so it's up to you.
String Settings
- text of the sticky icon
- This is the text used to print the sticky icon aside the title of "Sticky at top of lists" nodes
- text of the top bar slide button
- This is the text used for the topbar pull link at the top of the template
- text of opened top bar slide button
- This is the text used for the topbar link when it's opened
CSS3 settings
- Do you want to use css3 effects?
- If you choose yes, the theme will load the modernizer library and two stylesheets
css3/css3.css and css3/css3_graphics.css3 to use nice css3 effects. This effects will make the theme more pro-looking. The modernizer library (http://www.modernizr.com/) checks current browser against upcoming css3 features and adds a class to the html element to style the supported features. Browser that don't support these features won't show the effects (progressive enhancement)
- Do you want to use css3 font face embedding? (experimental)
- One of the coolest css3 features is the font embedding. If you choose yes some fonts will be loaded to render some titles of the template. Keep in mind that font embedding may slow page loading. Furthermore some combination of browser/OS may not support these fonts. Due to license issues the theme doesn't include the extra fonts. Follow this steps to activate the required fonts

IE8 + CSS3
This is probably the wrong place to post this and it's not even really a question but alot of my users are sadly not smart enough to use Firefox and this theme looks so good with the CSS3 stuff. It pains me that IE8 doesn't support it. Again my apologies for being completely off topic and in the wrong place.

Can this be localized to different languages, or must they be a "fix" string??
Very nice theme btw ;)

I can't see any of these Configuration Options
Hello, I guess this is a dumb question but I really can't see any of these configuration options after I downloaded and installed the Marinelli theme.
The only options I have are just the same old things:
-Toggle display
-Logo image settings
-Shortcut icon settings
-Theme-specific settings
That's all. I wonder where do I find all these configuration choices. BTW, I use Drupal 6 instead of 7.
Never mind, I found my answer.
Indeed, I found none of those options is supported by D6, only in D7.
Apostrophes in banner title/desc are displayed as HTML entities
Also ampersands and less-than/greater-than signs. Strangely, the copyright and registered signs are displayed normally.
I've read that this is due to running through check_plain() twice, but I'm too new around here to know where to fix that. Based on this page: http://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/includes--unicode.inc/function/decode_entities/6, I tried double-encoding (i.e.
'), but that just doubles the trouble.So for the moment I've re-phrased my banner titles not to use contractions, and in the descriptions I replaced the apostrophes with backticks. (Since the font size of the title is larger, backticks are too noticeable there.) I can live with it, but it still doesn't look quite right; I hope someone can point me toward a real fix.
Thanks for a great theme!
(Just downloaded yesterday: Drupal 7.9, marinelli-7.x-3.0-beta11. The site wll be hosted on AT&T's hosting network - whatever the heck that is - but for the moment I'm working on Windows 7 x64/XAMPP for Windows 1.7.3)
Alt Class?
What is Alt Class? What does it do? What number should I choose and how does it affect whatever it affects?
Change alinging of the box
Change alinging of the box wrapper to left of choosed (with Ctrl) menu item numbers.
Changing Marinelli Block Size
I looked all over for how to manage the block size in Marinelli 7x-3.0 (I'm on beta 11). Found a good post about it here and wanted to share in the documentation:

how to get the 3 column menu like the marinelli demo page
I tried everything possible with the theme to get the 3 column link just like in the demo page
http://marinelli.netsons.org/
menu items: Taxonomy Page and Theme Regions.
For some reason, the links on my page are coming up as vertical, all the way to the bottom,
I am using Drupal 7.12 and Marinelli 7.x-3.0-beta11

thanks

Fairly straightforward
You have to have the first link in each list as the parent of all the ones you show below it. For the "Taxonomy Page" section of the menu on the demo site, your menu would look like this:
* Taxonomy Page
* Another Section (parent)
* Facebook (Child)
* Accumsan (Child)
* Mountains (Child)
* Foursquare (Child)
* Corno Nero (Child)
* Linkedin (Child)
* Section Title (parent)
* Rubrica (Child)
Hopefully that explains it without me typing out the whole lot ;)
Changing length of posts on front page
In the default drupal themes I can change the length of where the posts get cut off and the "read more" link shows up. Is there a place that is in this theme to do that. I'm not finding anything so far...
Background image
Hello, I am using Marinelli theme. I have two questions.
Question1:
I would like to add 3 blocks at the "Topbar".
currently, those blocks are stacked block by block.
But I would like to display all blocks in a same line.
I am not sure how to divide 3 sections such as 33%,33%,33%.
Question 2:
I would like to add image (my store picture) for the background.
I tried to change layout.css but did not work.
anyone?
Background image Solved
to change the marinelli background image, simply modify or replace the body.gif file from marinelli's "img/background" folder.
