When using CKEditor with IMCE, the 'Insert File' button is missing from the Browse Server dialog. Double clicking images opens them in a new browser window instead of inserting them.

I tried adding the IMCE option to insert images inline on plain text fields. In that case the 'Insert File' button appears, but doesn't function. When I disable CKEditor Module, IMCE functions as intended.

I'm posting this here, because after disabling CKEditor Module, enabling WYSIWYG API and WYSIWYG-IMCE Bridge- the IMCE 'Insert File' button is visible and seems to work fine. So I'm assuming it's an issue related to CKEditor Module.

I'm currently using Drupal 7-rc2 and IMCE 7.x-1.0-beta1

Quick fix:
Move this function

/**
 * IMCE support
 */
function ckeditorImceSendTo(file, win){
    var cfunc = win.location.href.split('&');

    for (var x in cfunc) {
        if (cfunc[x].match(/^CKEditorFuncNum=\d+$/)) {
            cfunc = cfunc[x].split('=');
            break;
        }
    }

    CKEDITOR.tools.callFunction(cfunc[1], file.url);
    win.close();
}

to outside of the

(function ($) {
..
})(jQuery);

in the file ckeditor/includes/ckeditor.utils.js

I fixed it and commit to CVS.

If someone want to use button 'IMCE' in toolbar, pls first uncomment 2 lines in the end of ckeditor.config.js.

I'm getting this with a Drupal 6 site so has this issue been fixed with that and if so, what version do I need to install?

aaronbauman’s picture

Version: 7.x-1.0-rc1 » 6.x-1.x-dev
Status: Closed (fixed) » Patch (to be ported)

Well, there's no patch in this thread, so i'm not sure if the "patch (to be ported)" status is correct, but this needs to be fixed in D6 too.
I don't know whether this is the same issue in D6 or not, but the same symptoms persists on the D6 branch.

Update: my problem was a conflict with Secure Pages.

I'll set this back to its previous status.

That Secure Pages tweak did the trick for me.

Probably needs adding to the documentation of one of the two modules (or perhaps both?)

tarzadon’s picture

My issue was with Secure Pages as well. Thanks for the link @aaronbauman!

rifazmohammed’s picture

I use
drupal 7.22
CKEditor 7.x-1.13
