Is it possible to import date and time

Is it possible to import date and time from image to node's creation date?

I have a content type "Photo" with an Imagefield for the image and it would help to organize my pictures if I were able to import the date of image directly to node's creation date. It also makes for me lots of sense.

Any idea?

If this is not possible, you could consider this as a feature request.
