Hi,

I've searched the forums whether this has been done or not but cannot find evidence of it having been implimented, only posts stating it as necessary. This thread here talks about the need for it but using taxonmy module and I note Jaza made a post on this site http://www.lullabot.com/articles/drill_down_system about the active select and stated

This drill-down is only available on category selection elements on node forms for now. However, I recently upgraded the taxonomy_browser module to 4.7. I plan to port this module to the category system (and call it category_browser), and to add drill-down activeselect functionality to it.

I was wondering where this is at? I am about to start to impliment active select on exposed filters on views as I need this functionality on the site I am building and would hate to re-invent the wheel so to speak. If this has been done already but couldnt find it, or any info on where to go and what to look at building (as I havnt looked inside category, active select and views module yet) or any previous work done on this I can take over would be greatly appreciated.

I didnt end up using active select in the end. I just overode/hacked the exposed filters in the views module to drill down on the filters that i have exposed. It could be turned into a module but I dont have time at the moment. I can give you the exact place in the code to do it, but unless its for a specific thing your building it wont work when you have many different views and exposed filters.

Can you please post the code, so we can get an idea of what it takes?

I'm also looking for a way to use Active Select with Category on Views filters.
