(opening this one as a reply to this comment from #995446: Update the 7.x porting guided by upgrade.boombatower.com that is now closed-fixed)
Now, Frederik I know that this is supposed to be solved, but I am still seeing the link under the 'root' Configuration menu in admin_menu. Please confirm that this is actually fixed.
PS: Could be related to #550254: Menu links are sometimes not properly re-parented

Freso commentedIf you're using Devel, try to clear the menu cache. If not, let me know where you find it placed on a fresh install. It's placed correctly for me, so the fact that you're using the word "still" could point toward something being amiss somewhere else in your system. E.g. an outdated cache or #550254: Menu links are sometimes not properly re-parented.
klonosI did clear caches and run cron a lot of times, so I tent to believe that it is the core bug. Please keep it open till we see how it goes. I won't set it to 'active', but rather postpone this till the bug in core is actually fixed so I can test again.

Freso commentedCould you try installing either 7.x-1.x-dev or 7.x-1.0-alpha1 on a fresh Drupal install and tell me where the configuration is at?
johnvI just installed 7.x-1.x-dev (2011-Jan-06) (which is already outdated), and the item appears under Configuration --> Regianonal and language --> Languages --> Icons.
klonos...minor title typo ;)
I confirm #4 in latest d7 setups too. I guess it must be #550254: Menu links are sometimes not properly re-parented
Comment #6
klonos...setting proper status. If someone gets this, feel free to re-open.
