A select form that would allow multiple options to be selected as opposed to a drop-down menu

Currently the drop down menu only allows the user to select 1 option from the drop down menu. It would be great to have another field that would allow the user to select multiple options from the options presented and then display the options separated by commas.

This should be a slight modification and addition to field_select.inc.
