icecreamyou commentedThe explanation of this issue is not great but I think it what it is asking for is the ability to copy-paste a link in the main status update field and have it automatically fill out the link plugin fields. Tricky to implement because of issues with figuring out when a URL has been typed or pasted or edited (and what, exactly, does a URL look like, and when is the user done typing it, and what happens if there are multiple URLs...). I already figured out some cursor stuff that may be useful here (if we bother going the extra mile with cursor tracking at all, rather than just looking at pastes -- which has its own non-cross-browser-compliant issues).
