For Group manager at L.D.O we need and visible option for setting a dropdown titled "Default role for new members", where we can set "passive member" as the default.

It is really critical for group manager cause I can`t edit this but in Russian group F.E. - all new members stay inactive after login and group manager have to change permissions in a very large form by hands.

I can edit by hand. No reason to make it critical I think, since no other group ever needed this feature. Let me know if I should change it back to defaults.

Ok, fixed that to default. This general bug is still valid though. Not a high priority for me however, unless other teams hit this too.
