JohnnyX commentedI'm searching for a simple and good D7 gallery solution with simple comments and rating (fivestar) images. Additional a colorbox integration and also (simple) access controll would great.
Can GA fit my needs above? And when could a dev or stable version released? Days, weeks or months?
I won't stress you but interested to know when we maybe plan with GA ;)

majortom commentedLack of a good gallery is my biggest impediment to upgrading to Drupal 7, so I am also curious as to a time frame for this module. Gallery Assist looks like a great option, so I hope I can get it soon. :-)

jcmc commentedThanks,
I am working on it. The proceeds of the development can be followed from http://d7.assist-series.com.

majortom commentedAny progress on this module? Any chance that it will be released soon?
Comment #29
aiphescan't upgrade to D7 cause D7 version for this module is missing...the link below is under maintenance...
Comment #30
hristos commentedI need this module for Drupal 7 too.Cooliris Piclens is not the same .I want to make new site on Drupal 7 but this module is wonderful especially Gallery Assist for the Cooliris Viewer. Please write about it' s progress.
Sincere thanks
Comment #31
Jabzebedwa commentedMy input is essentially the same as all the above. I am currently using Media with Plupload in D7 successfully to make photo galleries, but GA offers some interesting functionality. I especially like the promise of node integration. As I understand it, this would reduce some themeing work for me. I like that! I'd also like to explore the Cooliris Piclense options mentioned. Add another one to the "bring on the D7 version!"
Juan Carlos, your link in #7 goes to a site in maintenance mode.

ag_design commentedAnyone have got an idea how to migrate all pictures from Gallery Assist to another image module ?
Some kind of import-export script...
I think Drupal port 7 will be never completed and people who have installed this module are locked on Drupal 6 and cant upgrade further.
EDITED:
-- I have done re-importing all images to imagefield which are in Drupal 7 core , by using Feeds module and Node Export module with Xpath XML exporting separate nodes first.
Settings for XPath XML parser
Context:
//node
mapped_imagefield:
(gallitems//opath)[1]/text()
( increase value [1] for each next imagefield - this returnes an original image URL back 1st, 2nd etc.)

drupalfan2 commentedHello,
I upgrades a D6 project to D7 and now the Gallery Assist Galleries do not work anymore.
Can you help me find a solution?
Migrate the galleries to other solution in Drupal 7? How?
Repair the D7 dev-Version of Gallery Assist? You can help?
Thank you.
Comment #34
ag_design commentedI would suggest you migrate to imagefield which is a part of Drupal 7 core.
It is better you roll back from backup Drupal 6 version of your site, install another clean Drupal 7 and then migrate your galleries.
Comment #35
drupalfan2 commentedThis would be great.
Can you tell me step by step how to do that?
And as the result: What kind of galleries would I have then? Can I create new galleries and display the old ones?
