I tried customizing the CSS code and must have messed something up. I've done this before lots of times but I can't seem to figure out what is wrong.

Just check out the screenshot and give me your thoughts.

Cheers,
Phil

After a couple weeks of dealing with the garland theme and getting a little closer to understanding its design, I found out that when using the color module, the png background images are not correctly colored, so that when setting the background color there is a borderline between the css background and the lowest part of the color gradient in the background images. I fixed the issue editing the png images myself with photoshop and adjusting them to the desired background color I wanted.

Interestingly, this issue seems to happen after applying several changes subsequently with the color picker (or just applying the changes made editing the style.css manually).

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is this a known issue?

Experienced something similar and the bit pointed at by the second Arrow (the bottom arrow) is the same in my case.

Unfortunately, I don't have Photoshop so I can't manually adjust hte png image to the colors that I want. and i think it is not an elegant option on the part of the theme.

Do you think it's worth reporting as a bug? I see no one replied to you here. I would consider it a bug.

Yes, I'd definitely report it as a bug, now that I am clearly not the only one with the issue (although I got to fix manually it through photoshop).
