Moving the "my account" link to a new menu

skyswather - December 1, 2006 - 18:58

Having disabled the navigation block, can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to move the the "my account" link to a new block?

I'm considering altering my theme to display the navigation block as the new block so that it includes it, but was wondering if there maybe is a more straight forward way!

Thanks!

my account is locked into the navigation block. same as my blog if the blog.module is enabled.

I'd simply leave all the "my" type links in the nav block (which show up when a user logs in) and move the other menus around as needed.

thanks

Here is my solution:

  1. Create a new menu (e.g. "my drupal")
  2. Add a new menu link with the path "user"
  3. Save

Now the link "my account" will appear at the menu "my drupal".

(tested at drupal 5)
