First I have to admit I'm not a drupal expert, so there might be a workaround for my problem. To group all audio nodes by the corresponding album I change the row style from node to fields and group by album. This results in the deactivation of the player even if I choose the player in the fields section in views (6.x-2.12). Is this a bug or is this the wrong way I'm doing it?

Are you using the audio field and the soundmanager2 style?
