hi, I'm not sure whether I understand the concept of this Personal Book correctly.

When creating a Book node, with 'Make Personal' option turned OFF, another user will be able to 'Add Book'
But when I turned ON that option, any other users will still be able to 'Add Book'

This is with the permission setting 'add content to books' being turned on for 'authenticated user'. If I disable that, users won't be able to Add Book to any books even if the node is set to OFF for 'Make Personal'

I'd tried all the options at the permission's page, but all to no avail. Does it supposed to work that way, or is there anything else I need to do?

Have you read the enclosed README.txt and the section title PERMISSIONS?

This explains how the book_manager permissions interact with core book to some extent. We are planning on improving this documentation and are open to any suggestions on how this could/should be improved.
