Is it possible to have some additional variables to display in the custom message for users without enough points? Rather than just say "You do not have enough points", it would be nice if you could say "You do not have enough points for this action. You need at least 150 more points to sticky this node", or "Users must have 200 points to perform this action". The only variable I could find in the documentation was the !points variable. Are there any guides to customize these messages better?

That's a message generated by Userpoints itself, so you would want to edit it in the settings for that module directly.
