I've made a nice install with only limited (user-generated) problems. Now I would like to move our existing membership lists and calendar over.

With several hundred in each category, I don't want to do each one by hand. Is there an option I am missing? Is there an add-in module? Has someone else solved it?

Or, must I figure out how to do it directly in MySQL? (Oh no, not that!)

Could you explain more precisely what do you want to upload and from where? From Drupal to Drupal? From some other source?

It's from another source. I can run it through Excel to get virtually any format, I suppose!

Anyone solve this yet? I have the exact same problem..however it would be a lot easier to dump a ton of events into a CSV file or something and mass import events. Thats would be a great help!!!

I'm looking to do something similar and in my searches, ran across Node Import and User Import.

Yep, those two will do most of the trick. For the rest, writing straight to the database can do it.
