Hide if empty isn't working on some of my views, but does on others.

I can't quite figure it out, but I have a view with nodes that do not contain gender.

But the hide feature works on another view I have:
Does not contain Sport Motorcycle Model: http://www.pinkgorillacycles.com/exhausts/slip-cruiser

Does not contain Cruiser Motorcycle Model: http://www.pinkgorillacycles.com/exhausts/slip-sport

It might be related to the fact that if the view contains no node then it defaults to showing each option for the filters:
http://www.pinkgorillacycles.com/apparel/riding-and-racing-suits/2pc-lea...

The manufacture view does not have a content type with the gender cck field.
