Thanks for letting me know,
Kirsten

KirstenLangholz commentedPlease give feedback. Thanks!

KirstenLangholz commentedI really liked the effort you put into this module, but a short comment would have been nice. Even a 'don't know' would have been a minimum politeness...
I'm gone, sorry!
twooten commentedHmmm, somehow I missed this one. Not sure why you set this issue to "won't fix" but anyway, yes I do intend to port to Drupal 7. I would love to find time to do this in the next few weeks.
KirstenLangholz commentedHey - a reaction!!!
Wonderful. I am not a prog, but anything I can do to help you, count me in!
rdeboerSubscribe to both: as an end user I would love to see a D7 version of this lovely module; as a developer I know how hard it is to find spare time to do a (usually boring) porting job.
Keep up the good work!
twooten commented@RdeBoer: thanks for that, much appreciated. I am interested in porting 6.x-2.0 to Drupal 7 but will need to wait until http://drupal.org/project/geoip is ported as it relies upon functions from that module's API.
I suppose I would port the 6.x-1 branch if many people insist on continuing to use it.
Feedback is welcome!
Tim

KirstenLangholz commentedWhen I told some of my friends they won't be able to use it on their websites anymore, if they want to switch over to D7, they almost cried as they would loose all their already collected data.
So I know at least 5 people who would kiss your feet.... ;)
twooten commentedKirsten, which version are you (and friends) using?
bwv commented"Insist on continuing to use it"?
Are you kidding? Tim, this is one of the greatest modules out there!
Please port it if you can, but whatever you do you have my eternal thanks for developing this, its terrific and makes a great addition to my sites. all the best, david

KirstenLangholz commented@twooten: All use the 6.x-1.6 version, but I can easily upgrade them to 6.x-2.0, if that would be helpful.

KirstenLangholz commentedHello,
the 'I-can't-do-it-myself-but-need-it' person here again.... any news on the D7 version?
twooten commentedHi Kirsten - I'm looking into the new D7 changes now. I will have something as quick as I can, promise.
KirstenLangholz commentedTwooten - you have a new friend for life... ;)
mgiffordThere is a patch for geoip, but not a release yet - http://drupal.org/node/887268#comment-4189084
Comment #16
KirstenLangholz commentedIt is November - and?
twooten commentedI have the module mostly rewritten for D7. I've got a bit of cleanup to do and need to add back in the default map blocks.
mgiffordCan you post a dev release?
twooten commentedI just added the initial release for Drupal 7. Drupal publishes dev releases every 12 hours so look for it within the next 12 hours. This release uses data from IPInfoDB.com. I added a default map page at site.com/visitorinfo-map. There are also 2 blocks, one is a map and the other is a simple list. The D7 version also integrates with Views so you can create your own blocks/pages using the Views interface.
Still a little to do, features to add. Feedback welcome.
Tim

mgiffordThanks!
KirstenLangholz commentedvisitorinfo-map doesn't show anything.
First of all thanks for your release. The blocks work like a charm and therefore I have all I need, but the page visitorinfo-map doesn't show any card or list at all.
Anybody else having this problem?
twooten commentedYou're welcome and yep, I was made aware of this yesterday. As it turns out I failed to include a tpl.php file in the first upload. I've added it and if you will, download the dev version dated Nov-22.
