Hey everyone First Off I am Loving this new player ! a Nice upgrade from Dash player thats for sure!

My issue is thus . Working on my local Server i have now migrated my entire video collection from Dash Player to The new Mediafront OSM player. Everything is working great EXCEPT Google Chrome and Safari.

When i load my Video Player Page with my playlist, it just sits there idly loading, no movement on the seek bar , just the loading swirl and no action. If i click on the seek bar somewhere and click the play button next to it on and then off it seeks forward and then starts playing from the points selected in the seek bar as if nothing was wrong. The other issue with all browsers is that users cannot Seek through the video (Safari and Chrome can seek only the first time you click on the seek bar, this is what allows them to even start playing the video.) If i try to seek it jumps to the beginning of the video)

Any suggestions as how to fix this so that Chrome and Safari will load and start playing the video without needing to jump ahead and hit the play button a few times?, and allow ALL browsers to Seek through the movies without restarting the video from the beginning?

Works fine on Firefox and IE 7+ (except Seeking)

Let me know if any of you have suggestions or thoughts

Hey travist thanks for the update, I have installed the new player and migrated to my live server. Everything seems to be working fine except in Chrome. The video loads and plays fine for about 25-30 seconds and then becomes extremely choppy. I tried letting it buffer for 5, 10 & 20 min but to no avail as soon as I hit play again it is still choppy.

I also cant seem to seek to any point in the video in ANY browser.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Caderial,

I am currently in the middle of a big project, and plan to jump on this afterward. Should be within the next couple of weeks. If you need a solution before then, then please contact me and we can setup an expedited fix.

Thanks,

Caderial,

Do you have a link to a specific video which you are having issues with in Chrome? It would help if I had the video you are seeing issues with.

thanks,

travis.

So, I spent some time trying to debug your issue here and am pretty confident that the problem is with the video encoding. I did make some changes that will show the progress indication for HTML5 videos, but that did not fix your video problems.

I then decided to just download your mp4's and take a look at them. It seems that even if they are run locally, they are having some issues. I then ran them through the Handbrake program ( re-encoded them ), and now do not have any issues at all.

Please try and re-encode the videos and let me know if you have better luck. Otherwise, I am not sure that this is an issue with the player or anything that I can personally fix.

Thanks,

Travis.
