I am currently using XML Sitemap version 6.x-2.0-beta1 and am having problems with the frontpage updateing the last modification date. I have it set as "always" and a priority of 1.0 currently. The path to the frontpage is set to "node" because it contains various nodes in the makeup. I have tried saving the main content with a new revision, and rebuilding the sitemap as well as running cron manually and still haven't been able to get it to update. There is dynamic content on my frontpage that I want Google to index regularly, but my last cache date is a couple of weeks old.

It looks like others have had this problem in previous versions and it was fixed. I have searched everywhere for a setting that may be off, but haven't found anything. I noticed that this version is undergoing a major rewrite and was wondering if this problem has been addressed. I would like to find a way to fix this as soon as possible.

I have also noticed that some of my URL's that I have assigned aliases to are not showing an update when changes are made also.

Got same bug on current version of module. As I search in old issues, this issue was solved in 2008 year #290176: No last modified date generated for front page, but seems that goes back now. I think that time()-1 is the good way to display date for frontpage, so can yo solve this issue in current version?
