Is it possible to use iconizer for specific content types? For example, can i use iconizer to link a node (say from a content type CV)?

Nice suggestion! I've turned your issue into a Feature request.
A nice feature should be a user-defined link icons for a set of "paths" (using CSS we can't handle the node-type information from Drupal IMHO)..

If someone is interested in such feature, or have tips/code to share I'm open to commit it!
