With the inclusion of CCK into Drupal 7 as Fields, it may be a good idea to add an additional taxonomy term to the Modules Categories.

Currently all Field modules are being tagged to Content Construction Kit (CCK). To avoid confusion for new and future Drupalers, there should probably be a separate taxonomy called Fields or something like that.

All projects that work with Drupal 7.x on could be tagged to this and all projects that work with 6.x and below could be tagged to CCK. Modules that work with both could be tagged with both.

Thanks for your consideration!

Title: Add Fields to Modules Categories taxonomy » Add Fields to the module categories
Project: Drupal.org infrastructure » Drupal.org site moderators
Component: Drupal.org module » Textual improvements

It seems a good idea, to me. A module that is for both Drupal 6 and 7 would be tagged with both Fields and CCK.

Ah thank you for categorizing this to the correct location, kiamlaluno. Somehow I missed this section when looking where to post it.

For the record, #1014630: Change .info package from CCK to Fields is waiting on this (in other words: subscribing to fix the other issue once this is done).

I added the taxonomy term (http://drupal.org/taxonomy/term/20224).

Thank you kiamlaluno. I'll start to get the word out to module developers so field modules can be correctly tagged.
