I can't seem to get anonymous users to view my forum. I have spend the last 6 hr trying to get this to work. My home page is set to show the forums but anonymous user get a no forums defined message. They can access specifique nodes from the blocks set up on the home page (i.e. new forum topics./active forum topics) but can not access to whole forum. My main page is set to forum.
I have set access content in acces control for anonymous user. I have installed module Taxonomy access and it is enabled. I have set up category permissions for all the forums for anonymous users.I did read in previous posts something about an og module. I have no og module installed if I need one which one do I install. Secondly I read something about anon being ticked in access control. I can not find this. I'd really appriciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Please help.
MANY THANKS.

- In 'admin/access', the anonymous user must have "access content" and "access comments" permissions.
- In admin/access/category (the tab created by the taxonomy_access module), you need to have view and list permissions for the anonymous user for all categories of the forum vocabulary. The same for 'Default', if you want future forums to behave in the same way.
The absence of the list permission is likely to cause what you describe (viewing nodes but not forums).
If you decide to use OG or any other access control module do not forget to disable taxonomy_access. You can't have two of them at the same time.

I'm having the same issue...

That question was about the "taxonomy_access" module. If you don't have that, then giving the anonymous user "access content" and "access comments" permissions in 'admin/access' should be enough.
Except if you have some access control module installed.
My settings
Hi,
Thanks for the reponse.
I don't have taxonomy access installed.
Under admin / access, I do have access content, access comments, and all related settings activated for anon users.
My central confusion is that I have one forum topic that is accessible / viewable by anon users and another 2 that aren't. The forum topics have all been created and configured the same way, to my knowledge.

I can read three forum topics. "Vedyn", "This is a test forum", and "Posting Guidelines". Are there more?
Cache was it
Turns out the site Caching was the culprit. It seems to cache for Anons, but not for other users. Which I guess is fine.
I'll start a new topic regarding the best caching strategies... (we have it on 12 hrs right now)
Thanks for your help!
