Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Following on the reasons from this issue to make them defaults I'd like to see OpenDocument formats allowed on Drupal.org and Groups.Drupal.org
This issue is to track discussion (if any) and the task of actually changing the setting. The other issue can discuss the idea of changing them as a default for all installations.

webchick+1 for this (both really).

mango CreditAttribution: mango commented+1 too. Otherwise, we might just as well turn Drupal into .net?
gregglesSince this has been committed as default to Drupal5, anyone want to implement it here and on groups.drupal?

moshe weitzman CreditAttribution: moshe weitzman commentedi will do so when 4.7.5 comes out (quite soon)
g.d.o is moving to drupal5 soon anyway. the only critical module left is securesite. we will probably give up event.module and signup for a while as well. events will come back as a CCK type + Views but no signup.module until someone builds it for CCK and in drupal5.
webchick@moshe, we've implemented a very basic "signup" feature on one of the Drupal 5 sites we've built using Views Bookmarks module; just name the links "sign up for event" and "cancel sign up."

moshe weitzman CreditAttribution: moshe weitzman commented@angie - thats cool. i guess all bookmarks are public? would be nice if views_scheduler or similar could send the reminder email before each event. anyone else have a thought how to do that? contact me in private instead of using this issue.

gregglesWell, this is apparently done now. Thanks to moshe and Heine for taking care of it (or whomever did it if not them).
