Issue Summary
Is there any sort of timeline as to when the dev version is considered stable? I understand you're in the middle of a major re-write for d7... but a lot of us are still cookin' with d6... and the current *stable* version quickly approaching 2 years old.
Are there any concerns with using the old stable version? should we use the current dev branch? or just sit-tight until the dev branch reaches stable?

Hi there,
I've just finished writing the port of front page to 7.x-1.x as well as started a 7.x-2.x branch for the next feature set. As soon as these are tested and a release has been made I will work on a backport of the 2.x features to 6.x-2.x. For the time being however the 6.x-1.x branch is still the latest stable version and I wouldn't recommend using the dev branch in production. As far as I know there are no pressing concerns with the 1.x branch so I wouldn't panic just yet.
