alex ua commentedThis definitely seems like a great site for the front page, but the post could use a some work. The biggest thing I would like to see is more detail, like a listing of the modules used, more information on the migration, and some additional screenshots.
The piece also needs a fair bit of copy editing to fix some of the gramatical errors that are prevalent throughout, and I'm definitely willing to put in a bit of time to help, but I'd like to see the piece "beefed up" a bit before I do. Please mark as "active" again when you've made some changes. Thanks!

gdemetAgreed with Alex, there's a lot of run-on sentences here, and I'd prefer that the snarky comment about the group's previous webmaster be removed.

mr.baileysClosing due to inactivity (5 weeks passed without response to the issues raised in #1 and #2)

scotwith1tSorry guys, my dashboard's kind of covered up with D7 issues I'm watching, so this managed to slip by me. I'll make sure to address these points right now. I'm not sure how the info about the previous webmaster are "snarky"? He is a good friend, a serious Drupaler and the point was that he gave up his attempt to write his own CMS when he saw how awesome Drupal is, so I thought that was a +1 for Drupal? I'd be glad to remove it if you still would like...I did reword it a bit...
Please review again when you have a chance. I was going to go back and add hyperlinks to each module's page where they are mentioned or in the list, but wasn't sure that would be good for getting people to read the whole article. This would be great exposure for our organization. Thanks again for looking it over!

scotwith1tp.s. i don't see any way to include screenshots. am i missing something?
lisarex commentedI haven't read the content yet but you should definitely use some subheadings to break up the content. And at least one photo is required.
Here's an example of images and headings: http://drupal.org/node/995140
@gdemet, are we promoting content to front page from the Success Stories book? I thought we want all case studies in the Forum?
scotwith1ti still don't see any way to add images as
is not listed as an acceptable tag (i tried anyway, image was stripped). is it maybe because i have created a 'Success Story' and not a 'Showcase'? i'll definitely add some sub-headings though, good point.

lisarex commentedYeah, the image part of the process is a bit tricky.
1) Upload the screenshots you want to display to this issue, so we can review them for appropriateness. Also they should be 300px wide, max.
2) Once approved, add the images to your node, referencing the images approved in this issue.
3) Then, someone with the Documentation role would have to change the input format to retain the img tags.
I am documenting this properly today on http://drupal.org/node/281920/
Comment #9
scotwith1tThanks Lisa, I would have never gotten that...seems a bit convoluted, but I understand the need to review for appropriateness. Here are the screenshots of the homepage and 3 of the features. Sub-headings have been added now also.

scotwith1twould also like to include the official logo too. thanks!

scotwith1tWould it make sense/be nice/be recommended to link to each project page mentioned?

tedstein commentedI grew up in Alabama and know AEC well. In fact, some years ago, I did work on a previous (non-Drupal) website for them.
AEC is one of the oldest environmental organizations in the country and it is great to see this recent high tech revival. My understanding is that AEC now has the most comprehensive list of recycling centers in the state of Alabama on their Drupal website accessible through a map module.
I think AEC's site is a wonderful resource for the people of Alabama and support this application for home page promotion.

scotwith1tJust a shameless bump to make sure this doesn't fall off the visible list on my dashboard and to get some eyes on it after everyone decompresses from DrupalCon! Thanks :)
scotwith1tJust keeping this one alive. Would love to get the opportunity to promote Drupal within our organization as well as promote the organization in the world at large! need to be able to add those pics though...while it's a good write-up, it is quite drab without some color...

tvn commentedWe now got a new case study section: http://drupal.org/case-studies. Book page with your success story got moved to archive during clean-up. You can move your case study to a new content type (follow guidelines here: http://drupal.org/node/1588136) and then re-open this issue with request for it to be promoted to Featured case studies.
