I'm currently looking at integrating the latest AjaxIM stack (built on node.js) into Drupal 7. A quick search brought up this project, but I notice it hasn't been active in over a year. I also see that it is using the old PHP AjaxIM stack. I'd like to take over maintenance of this project and get it back on the map for D7.

I got access to the project just before our priorities shifted. It's on my todo list, but not immediately on my agenda. We can try to get some work done on it in #1078678: Any roadmap for AjaxIM4 for D6 or D7.
