Database consolidation
I have Googled this but I haven’t found an answer – so I turn to you good people.
The background to the question is:
• I have a Drupal 5 based live site.
• I have copied the database from the site to use in a sandbox to build the new Drupal 6 revision of the site.
• Members of the Drupal 5 – Live –site have added content to this site.
• This new content is not on the Drupal 6 sandbox and therefore wont be on the new revised site I am about to upload.
The Question I need to answer is:
How do I import only the user generated content into my D6 sandbox without importing old Drupal 5 code/settings into, and potentially ruining, my new D6 database?
Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am in the same boat... My D5 site is still live and getting new posts/users etc every day...
I have a copy of the D5 site from about 3 weeks ago which I have successfully upgraded to D6, however of course all of the content in the D6 version is now out of date... So I need to bring the new content from the live D5 site in to my test environment D6 site.
It's simply not feasible for me to take my D5 site down and upgrade overnight as the upgrade process is taking a while (lots of views, panels, faceted searches etc to re-build as they got a bit mangled in the upgrade process).
I am thinking of trying just dropping specific D6 database tables and putting in the D5 ones from the live site (e.g. comments, content type tables etc) to see what happens... But I'm not sure if this will just mangle the whole thing.
Anyone out there with any good suggestions, we can't be the only people in this boat??
