Hello,
i want to use Drupal for a company project. But now im facing the challenge to convince my project manager to use Drupal instead of ZenCart and that is not so easy... ;)
Is there any resource available where the advantages of Drupal are outlined over another tool like ZenCart? or what are u thinking why it is better...?
I have to use one of these two to design a webshop for electronic items.

zencart
by the sounds of it you need a ecommerce solution. I would recommend zencart. Drupal does have an ecommerce module but zencart is more powerful as a ecommerce platform.
Hope this help.

Try them both by installing
Try them both by installing both systems on a testserver, see what meets your needs and you're done

Different Tools for Different Results
We've done a lot with both of these tools and they solve different problems. Zen Cart does a good job of selling products. Drupal does an excellent job of presenting content. Out of the box, Zen Cart does an OK job of making itself very friendly to search engines. Drupal excels at the same.
To some extent, the answer lies in how much non-product content you need to display. If you're just selling things and need to post privacy, return and other policies, Zen Cart is a fine solution. If you want to engage your users, grow a community and establish yourselves as content experts, Drupal is going to help you tremendously. And, in fact, the two tools are not mutually exclusive. We've got a site (http://www.gertens.com) that is a hybrid, with integrated search, etc. It takes some work, but if your vision is big, its well worth it.

I was remiss to not mention the e-commerce modules in the original post. That project has come a long way very quickly and is very feasible for e-commerce solutions: http://drupal.org/project/ecommerce.

Hope that helps!

Use them both
There seems Drupal is strongly recommended for content sharing and community building and zencart is good for online store? Can we integrated the two best in the same site?
