I have a search form with a submit button that I replaced with an image through your module, and it displays normally in Chrome, but in FF the submit button isn't an image and defaults to the text.

See screenshots attached.

Do you have a test url for me to check the generated html and css?

Not really, it's either on my local or on my work's private server, and since then we just went ahead and replaced the submit button by form override. From what I could remember, FF was rendering the button like a normal submit button, as if the module wasn't interfering with it at all.

I'll try to find some time to test it locally and see 1/ if it still happen 2/ if I could copy the code for you.

Mmm... does show up in every browser here, Chrome included.
Can you do a screen shot of your Custom Settings page, and what other contrib modules are enabled?
Have you tested with the default theme?

Have you try to look at the usual suspect? The permissions?
Make sure "use custom search" is checked.

Mmm. Have tried once more, but can't reproduce this bug.
Can you test with the default theme (Bartik)?
And can you tell me a specific admin page making the image disappear?

If possible, simple steps from basic install to reproduce the bug would be appreciated.

Closing issue due to relevance to now-obsolete browser versions. (Additionally, as a Firefox user that uses Custom Search heavily, I can confirm that this issue was, at some point, fixed.)
