I'm playing around with a local install of D7, and as near as I can tell, the search module will only search usernames, not any custom user fields that I've created. I've tried installing the Profile 2 module and duplicating user info as profile info to see if that would get the information into a searchable place, but no luck.
Also: I'm adding some multi-selectable options to each user's profile (where translators can indicate language pairs and specialties they handle), and would like to be able to set up a search interface that parallels this. I'd appreciate any tips on setting up an appropriate search page.
