Event Module 6.x-2.x-dev when used with Triggers and Actions OR workflows, the event date/time updates to 00/00/0 12:00 am. Anytime that the node is updated by either a workflow or a trigger/action the date, time and timezone are reset to all zeros. I believe, do to the issue happening with both Workflows and with Actions/Triggers, this is an issue with event.

Event for Drupal 8 is unrelated to older versions. If an issue similar to this one exists, please open a new issue with the 8.x branch.
