Hello Folks,
I think this is a beginners question but we have to ask as we are stuck.
The data is in Solr as harvested from our oai source
In XC Home › Administer › eXtensible Catalog (XC) › Solr Setup and Indexing we can see the field list and data that is indexed, see attached picture 1, if I select the top term in our first field darwin I get no results see picture 2, any tips on what we are doing wrong please?
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post, i am attempting to subscribe to the mailing list so I can read through the mailing list archive and avoid posting questions that have been answered.
Thanks in advance. (Not sure which version we have installed, is there a way to tell from the web interface?)

Hi,

the first things we need to know which version you use. If you download it from CSV, you can see the version in CVS/Tag, eg TDRUPAL-6--1 (this is the actual developer version). If you checked out another version, please change to this version (DRUPAL-6--1). If you downloaded the package, the xc.info file in the root should contain version info.

Péter

Hello Peter,
Thanks for the response the version we have is xc 6.x-1.1-alpha9.

Does anyone have a recommendation for us please?
It seems a shame to not be able to progress, we have 1,000,000 records in our LIMS system and 220,000 records in our digital repository. Should we try the latest development version?
Thanks

Hi Nicholas,

Sorry for the delay. Using the dev version in our current situation is better than any older version, because I don't have currently a Drupal installed with alpha9 (that is a shame, but still true). So I can response quicker if our codebase is in sync. To responde your question: the screenshot reveals an error. If you harvested Dublin Core records, it is possible, that inside the search module there was a filter, which make it possible (in a hidden way) to search only our XC schema records, and not other kind of schema records. But this is just a guess. Could you send me the URL of the initial OAI harvester schedule either here or in private message? I would harvest, and test it, and try to find answer.

Hi Péter,

Nick has asked me to take over this particular issue. The url you want I'm assuming is this one: http://www.territorystories.nt.gov.au/oai/request?verb=ListRecords&metad...

I'm currently installing the current dev version, so I will let you know if there are any improvements from that.

Thanks
Jennifer

After the harvest, I get the following report:

Harvest Report
Results

* 341 records were harvested in 00:00:14
* Metadata preparation has been completed in 00:00:00, optimization took 00:00:00.
The data of 0 works, and 0 expressions were merged into 0 manifestations

What do you want to do?

* Delete harvested records
* Go to the schedule list

Technological details

* Details of harvesting: ...

Does the fact that no metadata preparation appears to have happened, be a reason for any issues?
