Hello! We are looking for a freelance drupal developer with experience in programming the API and advanced module development. Our previous developer has taken on a full time position with another firm and therefore no longer has the time to contribute to our website.

The website is already built and open to the public: www.ESFIWorld.com. The easiest way to describe the website is that it's an ESPN.com but instead of sports, we cover professional gaming (gamers competing in console and PC games like StarCraft 2, Counter-Strike and Street Fighter 4).

The scale of the website is quite large. We need an experienced Drupal pro who is going to be able to look at the work already done and get to know the lay of the land, understand how each part of the site works in conjunction with the other and develop new features. The scale of most of the features we are adding is small. You will also be responsible for any tweaks or edits we need on current functionality already built.

The first task we need done is RSS feed customization. The next priority is developing a feature (called the "Tracker") that outputs new content that has been added to the database, with a number of filtering options. These two are just the first of a long list of features we need to add.

I would be glad to go through the website with you on Skype.

Requirements:
1. Advanced drupal module development experience
2. XHTML (I will usually design a mockup of a module with XHTML and you will need to incorporate it into the module you build)
3. Experience building a drupal site on a large scale (please send links)

Compensation:
With my previous developer, each module or "pack" of features was quoted on with a flat fee. I paid half up front and the other half upon completion. All bug testing was done by myself and reported to developer for fixes. Communication is key!

Development environment:
We are on a dedicated server, so you can make a copy of the website on a different section of the server and use that to work on. Of course, you can also use your own server. Whatever is easiest for you.

If this project seems like something you can work with, please contact me through the forum. Please include links to past drupal sites you've developed and any other supporting information. Thank you!

Brent

While I'm currently unavailable to help you with this project, I just wanted to say that it's an incredible site with what appears to be a very strong foundation and focus. Hopefully you'll be able to find a replacement developer (shame to hear the previously one left, as I was actually quite amazed at how customized your particular drupal installation was).
