Hello, I am working on a website in which I require to create 'Projects', they are community based with several topics. I need to create each project in a way that you can add 'updates' to them, like photos, news and so on.
It would work like a blog for each project.

They don't require to have several owners, just one person is fine.

I am currently working on the idea of using Organic Groups, but they are too much for my needs, I also though of using cck node reference, but it is not very user friendly.

I am also looking into CivicCRM, but I am not really sure how it works.

Is there any alternative to this options?

Organic Groups sounds like a good match, whats "they are too much for my needs" mean?

thanks for your response.

It has a lot of features that I don't need and I would like to avoid having them, or at least showing them, like subscriptions and per-group email and so on. If I can find a way to hide them, it should be fine.
