Uploaded image banners (and assumably swfs) link to their banner page and do not redirect to the intended target.

This is actually because pathauto was aliasing the nodes. Don't know what the solution is but it is not really a bug, more of a conflict.

This is a non issue. Pathauto was aliasing the nodes with the exact same url. If you create an alias that is anything but banner/[nid] it works. Closing this.
