Thanks for your enthusiasm. :-)

Actually the 7.x-dev version is ready now – there is just one line to delete that was a requirement in early betas of D7, but is no longer required. This doesn’t cause any problems, and there are no other changes to make. I’ll commit a full 7.x version soon, but you can use the dev version with confidence in the meantime.
