301 redirect for 404 Not found pages.

Hello,

I am curious how to do a 301 redirect on 404 not found pages. I currently have the customerror module setup, but it doesnt seem to have the feature I need. I believe the 301 will be done in .htaccess. Any help appreciated~ :)
