dddave commentedSorry guys I know this problem is annoying but there are a lot of issues and topics about it and I guess even some doc pages. You don't provide any additional information which would differ your cases from those. Therefore I have to suggest that you go back to searching through the existing topics and docs.

lucacerone commentedHi everybody,
I'm experiencing the same issue on a freshly installed Drupal 7.2 installation.
No third party modules are installed, only the one coming with a fresh standard installation.
No content has been added to the website yet.
The cron service run correctly, but the box for "Drupal core update status" is always
yellow and says that no information is available.
If I click on "Check manually" it performs the search and it says that my Drupal is up to date.
I don't know if it helps saying that my site is in maintenance mode and that it is hosted on
Ergonet Linux Plan (http://www.ergonet.it).
Hope you can help me fix this,
Cheers, -Luca
