Summaries update a click behind in IE8

When using Internet Explorer 8, summary fields in the tabs seem to update a click behind. For example, I go in and toggle the published status, the summary doesn't change. If I then toggle promote to front page, the published status will change in the summary but the promote to front page status won't have changed.
