Drupal won't send email! It either says that it sent the email but it never does, or it says it couldn't send to the email address.

administer-> settings ->

administer-> settings -> users
insure you are using a return address.

if this doesnt fix your problem, you will want to elaborate some more on your problem.

type of host ?
host os ?
version of PHP ?

are registration mails getting sent ? or not sent ? what "email" is not being sent ?

"probably" some linux

"probably" some linux distro
doesnt help diagnose.
PHP v5.x also doesnt help diagnose considering php is up to version 5.2.

The responses you've given arent definitive enough. its impossible to research possible problems for you without definitive answers.

If registered mails are being sent and contact emails arent, then the problem would not be with the entire mailing system.

Are the emails being flagged as spam ? can they be found in spam folders ?
is there a pattern ? meaning, are some hosts allowing the emails and other hosts not ?

Plese take the the time to provide more information.
