Dear All,

I am new to Drupal and I would like to post a static page at the front page of http://www.indonesianfilmfestival.com.au/ (this site was setup by Drupal by the previous web developer), for the online competition, which structure will be completely different from the current structure.

Can you please assist me in the best way of achieving this?

You could try Administer | Site Building | Pages - select the "Wizards" tab then Landing page. That should give you what you need.

Great looking site, looks like fun.

You will ultimately want to create a page-front.tpl.php to over ride your page.tpl.php.

I agree with Blane, though my suggestion would suffice at a very simple level, the link he posted provides for much more customisability IMHO, and I learned something new by reading it.....great stuff.
