Hi there,

Once you have all of the sites enabled, go to "admin/settings/purl". In that section, you can choose whether your sites will be based on domains, subdomains, path prefixes, or other elements of the URL. Once you set that up, just go to "/admin/build/sites" and you can start creating sites. If you give me a sense of what all you're trying to do with my module, I can try to give you more specific help.

Thanks for ur reply!!!
Let make it clear what I want actually.I have an introductory page(using Front Page module) for my site where two links are present.First one should link to main section of the site and the second one should link to another section of the site. The links on the menu bar should be different for both of the sections.ie it should look like two separate sites using one Drupal database.

Is it possible to have this using 'sites' module.or should I prefer some other module?
Plz help!!!

Hi Brynbellomy,

First, thank you very much, all things you do for Drupal,
I am a beginner from Vietnam

I'm a doctor. So i want to build a portal of Health. The portal likes that:
- I have a domain: http:\\yhvn.vn ---> this site contains all contents in health (surgery, internal medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetric, Cardiovascular, Hypertension, ...). One database.
- I have some domains:
http:\\tanghuyetap.vn
http:\\fahs.yhvn.vn
http:\\cardiology.vn
...
How can i build many site with difference domains like that? All use one database (of http:\\yhvn.vn)

Now, i have some domains, each domain connect to one hosting, each hosting can create many databases (but i only created one)

Thank for you support,
Dr. Tung

"Once you have all of the sites enabled"... where exactly is the 'site enabling' happening that you reference? As far as I can tell, the module only lets you add sites, with no confirmation that they have been added and no list of the created sites. The only admin menu item for the module is: Sites > Add Site (/admin/build/sites/add)

i'm having trouble too to figure out how to assign content to a cetain site
i enabled purl whit a modifier type "route" (admin/settings/purl/types)
and added a couple sites (admin/build/sites),
at this point if i type the site's name on the url, and then click any menu, it holds the route with the prefix of the site i typed
so it works, but i can't figure out how to assign nodes to a site.

I tried using the context module, but it doesn't seem to be the solution, at least to what i'm looking for,
what i'm trying to achieve is having sites for cities and content assigned to this cities
i was hoping to be able to tag content with a site name somehow
maybe trough taxonomy terms

i also tried using spaces module, but it seems to be more robust than what i need
and sites's features description seems to be what i'm looking for

i don't know if i'm missing something or if this module is meant to be used that way
neither have found much documentation on how to configure it

i would much appreciate some guidance

thanks in advance!

This module is all but intuitive ...

You can find a list of sites at /admin/build/sites, but that page doesn't appear as an item at the same level as /admin/build/sites/add.

Issue summary: View changes
Status: Active » Closed (outdated)

As this module has not been maintained for some time, I am closing this ticket as “outdated”. A new version of sites which is architecturally and technically unrelated to the Drupal 6 and Drupa 7 versions will be published here soon.
Thank you for your contribution.
