Unable To Crop Image after basic Install

I have just installed the IMCE crop module and activated it as explained. Is there a specific directory that needs to be writable by the system or am I missing something.

I have attached a screenshot of the error I receive.

It is possible on this install of drupal that some directories that need to be writable are not set up yet. If this is the case knowing which folders they are would be beneficial.
