I think it will be more user-friendly if node reference module will be added to dependencies.

In D6 nodereference is part of CCK, right? In D7, I think the core now requires the contributed "references" module to address the same functionality. If anything, the dependency would be on cck for d6 - i suppose the dependency should be explicitly cited in the .info file.
