Just wondering if I should add image filter as one of the supported filters in MultiLink. That would allow the following functionality in a multi-language environment:

[image:123] tag would be automatically converted to [image:124] where node 124 is a different version of the same image, chosen based on the user's current language selection. This would be relevant for images contained text, where the correct language version of the image needed to be shown.

The advantage, compared to simply entering the [image:124] tag directly would be:

* If no version (translation) of the image exists for the currently selected language, then the generic image (node 123 in the example) would be used.

* If a translation of the image were added at a later date, the tag would effectively update automatically to point to that translated version.

* While creating/editing content there would be no need to look up node numbers of translated images, simply reference the original (node 123) version and let MultiLink handle conversion of that tag to point to the correct translation of the image.

So, my question is simply whether this would be useful? The work for me in adding Image Filter to the list of filter that MultiLink supports (see MultiLink documentation) would be fairly small, so happy to do it if it would be helpful to the community.
