No googlenews.xml file

Installed with DP7.8.
Nothing. No file, no warnings, no errors.

Also, there was no section in Admin/Site Configuration for GoogleNews nor was there any place to set content types.
It is enabled in Admin/Modules but there are no real configurations for it (RSS Publishing & Feed aggregator only options)
It is as if it never fully installed.

Any ideas?

I got a very similar problem. On /admin/config/services/googlenews I select the node type I want as a "news" but, going to site.tld/googlenews.xml you get an empty sitemap like this:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Why such a behaviour? Why not indexing even older than 48h contents?

I'm also interested in this functionality. Is there any method of getting this to work with older content? It seems like this should handle all content regardless of when it was posted to the site.

This patch improves the README.txt file to indicate some of the settings that can be changed, and adds a Troubleshooting section with a note about checking the content filters & time range.
