Hello!

I would like to implement a real-scenario solution in order to manage downloads, as I haven't found any out-of-the-box module to the following:

- Same look/functionality as DocMan for Joomla [or Autodesk downloads page];
- Private Download URL's;
- Attachment mass-upload [by ftp or browser]
- Node based downloads with meta data related to the attached files;
- Attachments categorizable as private/public;
- User/Anonymous control by Login/E-Mail registration;
- Full Reports showing statistics for downloads count and responsible user's/ip's related data/emails.

Have someone implemented a solution like this? Any help?

Since you are talking D6, perhaps have a look at File Depot http://drupal.org/project/filedepot

My understanding though is that a D7 version is a ways off and may be very different, limiting the upgrade path.

If your needs are simple enough you could do this in D& with the built in fields, taxonomy and Views (and a lot of elbow grease.)
